On the Air: Lawmakers, sheriffs push to have gun shops deemed “essential” under stay-home order

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Governor Jay Inslee’s office says gun shops and gun ranges are not essential businesses under his ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ order, which was extended Thursday to May.

But some gun shops and ranges are still open for business…

State Sen. Lynda Wilson is one of dozens of state lawmakers, county sheriffs and police chiefs who want to see gun shops and gun ranges classified as essential businesses under Inslee’s order.
